Vital L. "Mike" Bourgeois Jr.

BOURGEOIS Vital L. "Mike" Bourgeois, Jr. passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the age of 73. He was born in Waveland, MS and resided in Mandeville, LA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and loved traveling. Beloved husband of Theresa O. Bourgeois for 20 years. Father of Robin J. Bourgeois-Oppido (Robert C.); stepfather of Terrie Hesse, Theresa Bradshaw (Richard) and Tammy Smith (Daniel). Brother of Mabel Mitchell and eight deceased siblings. Grandfather of Adam Bourgeois Oppido, Victoria R. Oppido-Mazur, Justin R.T. Oppido and great grandfather of Avrrin L. Mazur. Step grandfather of Corbyn Hesse, Alexandra Bradshaw, Charrell Bradshaw, Rebekah Bradshaw, Thomas Bradshaw and Daniel Smith. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, June 25, 2012 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
