Wallace Cason Sr. Obituary

Wallace Aaron Cason, Sr., age 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Auburn, AL, and a resident of Gretna, LA. Wallace was a deacon at Christian Congregational Baptist Church. Loving husband of 51 years to Florita Jarrow Cason. Devoted father of Maurice (Celsa) Ellis, Wallace Cason, Jr., Brian (Brandy) Ellis, Kermit (Yvonne) Cason, Darlene (John) Mack, Rose (Melvin) Williams, Terry Cason and Trena (Lloyd) Harris. Son of the late Neil Cason and Jennie Hill Cason. Brother of Jennie Boyd, Bernice (Willie) Walker, Sallie Mae Henson and the late George, Will, Oscar, Rufus and John Cason; also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Christian Congregational Baptist Church, Christian Fellowship Cathedral Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Christian Fellowship Cathedral Baptist Church, 7643 Lehigh St., New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Willie Breaux and Rev. Elvin Bazile officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Holt Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
