Wayne "Peanut" Hall obituary, Houston, TX

Wayne Hall Obituary

Wayne Hall, lovingly known as "Peanut", was born on April 6, 1955. One of the beloved sons to the late Wilmer and Helen Hall. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX for the past 18 years following Hurricane Katrina. He retired from the Houston Independent School District in 2021. Wayne was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans, LA where he was a proud alumnus of The Mighty Lions. Wayne lettered in basketball in high school and took up graphic arts as one of his trades. After graduating high school he attended Dillard University. He was known to family as Peanut and to the rest of the community as Uncle Nut. Wayne always recognized his elders of the community, but most important to him, were the kids of his community. He coached, mentored, and even stood in as a father if he had to for some kids. Wayne has impacted so many children throughout his life. Wayne was a Noble man, a generous man, most importantly a family man. His family was your family, and your family became his family. Wayne was built with a strong foundation. His structure wasn't the height of a skyscraper. He had a key to open every door he needed to open in someone's life. When you were at your lowest, he picked you up off the floor and walked with you. He didn't always take the elevator with lessons he gave you, sometimes it was better to take the stairs. That's where the real love and knowledge came from. He would take you to the highest floor he can. But the last door going up, was a door he made you walk through alone. He always wanted to see people in his life elevate to higher things. Even if he had to stay back to help someone else understand how to build. Wayne leaves to cherish his memories as a loving father to his children, Lance Hall (Britney), Nicosha Hall, his twins Alex Green & Alice Green. A devoted grandfather to his grandchildren Byron Stevens, Leia Hall and Sir Hall. His surviving siblings Wilma Theresa Fairly, Cornell Hall (Laura), John Warner, and Lisa Navarre, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren who he loved dearly. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Helen Hall. Six of his brothers, Wilmer, Ronald, Errol, Gregory, Gary Hall, and Raynell Navarre. One brother-in-law, Amos Fairly (Theresa).

Even though he is gone, his spirit still lives
You dare not forget, those precious years
Remember that smile, upon his face
That smile will shine brighter,
In his new dwelling place
Gone but not forgotten!
Rest In Heaven!
