Wilbert Bradford Sr.

Wilbert Bradford Sr., 82 of Kenner, La. passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023 surrounded by his family. Wilbert was born on July 14, 1940 to the late Percy Sr. and Easter (Louberda) Carter Bradford of Belle Rose, La. He was a retired skilled welder where over the years he was with Avondale, Brown & Root, and the City of New Orleans. Devoted father of Henry McGee, Ora Lee (Michael Sr.) Duncan, Wilbert Jr. (Lisa), Anthony (Melissa) Bradford, and the late Rabrain Bradford Armstead; Godfather of Lisa Williams; brother of Jerrel (Elouise) and Ronald Bradford, Carolyn (Van) Chevies, Simone Myles, Kathy Scott, Sylvia Bradford and the late Percy Jr., Clarence, Sterling, Raymond, Bevin, Ray and Kirby Bradford, and Eldora Bradford Williams. Also survived by son-in-law Darnell Armstead, sister-in-law Mary Ann Bradford, ten grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, former wife and mother of his kids Ruth McGee Bradford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Oakland Baptist Church, are all invited to attend the Celebration of Life service on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Baptist Church, 825 Rev. Richard Wilson Dr., Kenner, La. 70062, Rev. Charles Hurst, Pastor/Officiating Minister. Interment will immediately follow the service at Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, La. 70003. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. in the above-named church.
