Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6300 Pine Boulevard. Officiating by Father Wayne Paysse. Final resting place Biloxi National Cemetery- Biloxi, Mississippi. Visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to Mass Time. Invitees: Musicians Union, Irma Thoma and the Professionals, Orleans Parish School Board, New Orleans Private Patrol, United Parcel Service, Carver Senior High School and Gregory Junior High School. Survivors: Wife: Joyce Brown Rawlins; 2 sons: Wilbert Joseph (Belinda C) Rawlins, Jr. and Lawrence Royal (Wilma) Rawlins. 2 brothers George (Mary) Rawlins, Jr., Melvin (Lois) Rawlins; six sisters: Sedonia Lewis, Catherine Smith, Marion Rawlins, Georgia Randle all of Beaumont, Texas and Mercy Bea (Leonard) Gabriel and Hilda Rawlins of Port Arthur, Texas. Four grandchildren: Tyler Causley of Champagne, IL., Lioneshia Jenkins, Latisha Jenkins and Curtis Littles of New Orleans, LA; godfather of Pamela Brown, Tina Cager and Lettie H. Humbles and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.Preceded in death by his parents George Rawlins, Sr. and Aldonia Rawlins, his stepmother Iona Royal, a brother Rev.
