DERBY William J. Derby, Jr, at Cannon Hospice on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 1:05pm. Beloved husband of Fay Mandella Derby. Brother of Jean Derby Enzone and her husband, the late Vincent Enzone. Son-in-law of Hilda F. Mandella and Paul Mandella, Sr. Brother-in-law of Paul Mandella, Jr. and his wife Mary D. Mandella, Michael Mandella and Judy Lee. Master of Grettel. Age 71, a native and resident of Kenner, LA for the past 45 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Metairie home of Lamana-Panno-Fallo, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd. on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 12:00 noon followed by interment in Metairie Cemetery. Aunt Fay,
I am sooo sorry to hear baout Uncle Bill. He was a great friend to my father and a wonderful person in general. If I can do anything for you please call me. I am sooooo sorry that we missed the service I seen it in the paper about 2pm the day of the service and it was too late!! May god bless you and the wonderful memories fill your heart and mend your pain!!!

Bill was a true friend who often spoke his mind, and respected for his honesty. A mentor to most of the teens in the community,who touched the lives of everone he met. A Civil War buff and Historian.
Bill will be greatly missed.
