I met Steve about 1977 when he bought an old Esso station in Metairie. He invited me and my family to come meet him. When we visited him in his hometown, a telephonic relationship was transformed into a deep appreciation for his unique professional and relational skills. He made everyone he was with feel special. He was a host without peer. Over the years, I visited him a time or two each year while on business trips to the area. Most of the years I knew Steve, he was married to Paddy. How he loved Paddy. Steve will be greatly missed.

Steven and I attended St Martins and finished high school at East Jefferson in 1960. He was a unique person with a personality that was unlike any other. A creative humorist. A sincere friend. An unforgettable member of the wonderful Lambert family. RIP Steve.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the entire Lambert family. Stephen and I were in the 1960 graduating class of EJHS. We had remained friends since then. Over the years, since high school,I had gotten to know the Lambert family. I enjoyed having dinner with Stephen and Paddy at their home or mine. His friendship will be sadly missed.
