William Warner Jr. Obituary

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, God called William Warner Jr. home to eternal rest. He was born on March 21, 1933 in Clinton, Miss. to the proud parents of William Warner and Luella Lemon. He was baptized and dedicated his life to God at a young age. He joined the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was united in holy matrimony on April 1 of 1968 to Patsy Joseph. Through this union 1 daughter was born, Kim Warner Dyer. He joined Providence Baptist Church and served as a member of the Senior Usher Board for many years. He was the owner and operator of Warner Transportation Service. He leaves to cherish is memories his daughter, Kim, two stepsons, Willard (Cassandra) and Rev. Alja Thompson of Mohave Valley, AZ (Lydia); and his granddaughter, Giovanni Gordon, step grandsons, Alga Thompson Jr. (Loretta) and Dontrell Thompson, a step granddaughter, Ieshea Thompson; two great grandsons, Terry L. Berniard Jr, and Tahj L. Berniard; and a several step great-grandchildren (Aljanette, Tabitha, Tyrell, Justin, Whitney, Alga, T.D., Imani, Dontrell Thompson Jr, and Demi); and a host of cousins; along with a devoted friend, Maureen Williams; and 1Godchild, Theryl Jones of Atlanta, Ga, We were all very fortunate to have him in our lives and we will sorely miss him. "And think of him as being in the hearts of those he touched… for nothing loved is ever lost… and he was loved so very much." He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Warner, parents, William Warner Sr. and Luella Sanders; and his stepfather John H. Sanders; and his brother, Johnny Lee Warner. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Providence B. C. are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA 70123. Visitation is from 8:00am to 10:00am. Rev. Dr. Terry G. Lewis, Sr. officiant. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson, River Ridge, LA in charge of arrangements.

Mr.Warner,Was one of the nicest person I could've ever met in my Life, I had keys to his school buses and his GREYHOUND BUS I was the only one other than himself to drive his GREYHOUND BUS,He & Mr.Newman took me under there wing's as a young man & I will never forget it, I THANK GOD, For them everyday/ WHAT A TIME I'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE.....
