William "Bill" Weir Jr.

William "Bill" Weir, Jr., age 69, was born on March 18, 1954 in New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023. He worked at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel and the Orleans Country Club as a waiter for many years. William was the proud father of Sirmara Williams. Loving brother of Michael Weir, Sr., Harold Weir (Robin), Onelia Addison (Sterling), Barbara Weir and Trina Weir. Beloved uncle of Aisha Weir (Walter), Carnell Weir, Michael J. Weir, Jr., and Lee B. Wilson. Also survived by 1 grandchild Caleb D. McGee, 5 aunts, 1 uncle, and a host of cousins, family and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents William Weir, Sr. and Delores O. Weir, and his nephew Glendell Weir. Relatives and friends of the family, also the staff of the Hilton Double Tree Hotel and the Orleans Country Club are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003.
