My wife Mary and I have been friends, clients of Bill for forty years, starting with Scharff & Jones. We became close personal friends and will sorely miss him, his anecdotes, his sage advice, exceptional business acumen and unrivaled integrity. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. You are as good as they come. The warmth and kindness you and your lovely wife extended to my family will remain indelible in our heart. Your departure is devastating to us all. Your good nature and kind heart makes you a constant topic in our home.
We pray that GOD will receive your soul like you received us and give you eternal peace. Our prayers are with your lovely wife (Judy) and the rest of your family.

My greatest condolences to the family. Bill was a man of great respect he will be truly missed. I'm so glad I got to talk with him the day before he passed. I've always thought if only there were more like him in this world it would be a much better place. I worked for the same company for a good many years and have great respect for him. He has touched many lives. May God wrap his arms around Ms. Judy and family and provide God's Peace

Bill was one of the finest men I've ever had the pleasure to have known. After my Dad passed away Bill was one of several men who filled in part of that void in my life by always being a treasured voice of wisdom and experience whenever I needed it. I will miss him deeply and my thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

Judy,
I am shocked and saddened. While we never lived close together over the years, except for our time in Baton Rouge after Katrina, Bill and I kept in touch over the years and I deemed him a "best friend". Our prayers are with you and your family.
