Willie Nelson Obituary

Willie Nelson, Sr., age 69, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born in Pineville, Louisiana (Rapides Parish). Willie served in the United State Air Force in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was affiliated with the Mason Lodge #45-B; American Legion Post #385 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #337. He was married to Rosella Brumfield Nelson for 37 years. Willie was a loving husband, father grandfather, godfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Family and friends are invited to attend the Home Going Service on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at12:30 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA 70123. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Dr. A. Nathan Young, officiating. Interment will be on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460 at 10:00 a.m. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson, River Ridge, LA in charge of arrangements.
