I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Yarvelle "Moonie" Sykes. She was one of my best friends. I will miss her dearly. I pray God’s peace and blessings on Yarvelle’s children and family. Yarvelle and I were very close friends at Prep. What I remember most are the laughs. We found something to laugh at everyday! Yarvelle was a fun-loving, caring and honest person. As stated before, she was the “true” definition of a friend. “Moonie” will be missed, but never forgotten. I thank GOD for allowing me the opportunity to cross paths with such a wonderful person. To her family, please know that she always talked about you and loved each of you dearly. I pray that you find peace and strength in knowing that she’s resting in Heaven.

It was indeed a shock to hear about Yarvelle's passing. I was her classmate at Prep and fondly remember her as always having a kind word to say to everyone. She had a very peaceful spirit. Please accept my condolences and may God comfort you all who knew and loved Yarvelle.

I am very shocked, and lost for words! As a classmate of Yarvelle at Prep, I remember her Big, Full, Smile!!!! She always told me positive things, and that wasn't because she wanted me to make her laugh! The Sweetest,most sincere friend anyone could ask for. I am deeply hurt, and I pray for her loved ones. You must draw strength from God, for He is the only One that can keep you from falling. May God Bless her family, and all who knew her, knows she is in a place of eternal peace.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Yarvelle. I was a Xavier Prep classmate of "Moonie" and will always remember how sweet and caring she was. No matter the length of time between our meetings, she was always the same loving person. I am shocked and dismayed to hear of her passing. My prayers are with all of her loved ones. She will be dearly missed!
