Youree Harris Obituary
Harris died of metastatic colon cancer, according to the TMZ website. Her cancer had been discovered in 2015.
Harris, who was born Aug. 12, 1962, in Los Angeles, got her start in the theater, acting in her autobiographical play, “Women Only: A Celebration of Love,” in Seattle, Washington.
She became famous after she became the turban-clad TV pitchwoman for the Psychic Readers Network, a psychic pay-per-call service, from 1997 to 2003. Billed as Miss Cleo, Harris uttered the line “Call me now!” in a Jamaican patois.

During the 2000s, Harris lent her voice to a video game character, Auntie Poulet, in 2002’s “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.”
In 2003, the Fuse TV music network had signed Harris and two others as spokeswomen, according to a column in the New York Daily News.
In 2005, the Broward-Palm Beach New Times reported that Harris “showed up recently on television ads for Plantation-based Uncle Mel’s Used Cars. The shaman-seer has resurrected her controversial character, only this time around, it's just Cleo, no Miss.”

Miss Cleo was part of my youth. Once someone used my phone line to contact her organization-when I received the large bill-I disputed it and was always impressed at how efficiently the whole matter was resolved from her end-you see Miss Cleo's org recorded entire conversations so voice comparison could be made.
