Those of us that knew Zoann in the later years of her life knew that much of that time was spent morning the loss of her beloved husband Warren, and that her deapest desire - beyond the happiness and well bieng of her family, was to be reunited with him, her darling brother John, and the parents she loved so much (Joseph and Zola Little). We trust that that event has come to pass and that she i9s now residing in a far better place.
Yet, the loss of Zoann Dusenbury is a great tragedy for us all of us left behind. She was a remarkable woman in so many ways. Vibrant and full of vigor she lit up any room she entered - often with a fiery glow. She was a pioneer of womens rights, one of the first women to graduate fron an Ivey League Collage. She was a formitable force and held strong opinions about equality, raceizm, honesty, and the inherent potential of people to do good and aspire to ever greater hieghts, and as such, she comanded the respect of all those around her.
She inspired us to to improve and express ourselves thru her love of literiture, politics, and theater. And helped mold the minds of many very talented young students - all of whom she loved - thru her work as a teacher and mentor in various locations. Her vibrant presence, her wisdom and guidance will be sorely missed, but the memory of her life will continue to give us the strenght and guidance we need to live full lives when we remember the blustery courage with wich she led hers.
