Working on the Psych unit at Jennie I had great respect for Dr. Rassekh, also appreciated his humor. As a young RN having grown up on a farm by small town I'd never experienced anything as extravagant as his Christmas parties they were wonderful. I shall always remember when he asked for me to come in with him and a patient,(as a young RN I'd heard him usually ask Judy K. or Delore P. or other more experienced RNs for consultation)
I felt so grateful that he trusted me. It makes me sad to hear of his passing. He was a wise and kind man.

So many fond memories with Hormoz and Henriette at FSMB meetings. They were always followed up with wine recommendations that could be ordered through Hormoz's wine connection in Chicago. Seems like yesterday. May his memory be a blessing.

Hormuz was a dear colleague from his Federation of State Medical Board Days, becoming president 2 years after my term. We spent many committee days together and had some lovely dinners, usually at French restaurants! I will miss him.

I am saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Homoz Rassekh. I worked with Dr. Rassekh for many years when I was an ER physician calling him for admissions to the Mercy Hospital McDermott Unit, our behavioral health unit. We called him "H". We were proud to have a Council Bluffs physician serve as President of the Iowa Medical Society and later as President of the national Federation of State Medical Boards. My deepest condolences to his family.
