Joy Lynn (Stipe) Steyer, age 66, of Plattsmouth, NE., peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her residence. Joy was born on December 27, 1957, to John L. Stipe and Dorina M. (Robichaud) Stipe, in Spokane County, WA. Joy met the love of her life, Rod Lewis Steyer and they were later married on July 2, 1990, in Council Bluffs, IA. Joy is survived by her husband of forty years, Rod Steyer of Plattsmouth, NE; her daughter, Jennifer Kesselberg-Dubon of Omaha, NE; her son, K. Aaron Kesselberg and his wife, Barbara of Ada, MN; three grandchildren, Kalvin, Ashton, and Chantel Kesselberg; her three brother, Jay Stipe of Nebraska City, NE; Don Stipe of Plattsmouth, NE, and Robert Stipe and his wife Crystal of Omaha, NE; her sister, Dara Hogueison and her husband, Jason of Plattsmouth, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be severely missed by everyone that knew her. A special thanks to Kara Stipe and Amy Casson for helping, while you are family, you two are also truly angels. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorina Stipe.
