Mary Poe

1943 - 2023

Mary A. Poe, age 79, passed away peacefully, at Risen Son Christian Village, April 14, 2023. She was born July 25, 1943, to the late Walter and Erma (Olsen) Fairman, in Council Bluffs. Mary graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the Class of 1961 and retired from Jennie Edmundson Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Poe; sister, Joyce Maurer. Mary is survived by her daughter, Melissa Gdowski; son, Tony Bremholm; brother, Loyal Fairman; sisters-in-law, Connie (Kurt) Kline and Sharron Kindred; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Croix Hospice or First Christian Church.
