Mary Ruth Sales, age 83, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 7, 2025, at Heritage-Fox Run. Mary was born January 21, 1942, in Magnolia, Iowa, to the late Joe C. and Anna L. (Gibson) Edwards. She married Herbert "Bill" Sales on May 11, 1963, in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with four children, Bill, Becky, Carolyn, and Rhonda. Mary was a seamstress for Charles Schneider and Prestige Furniture for many years. She was a member of Southside Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1994; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Mary is survived by her children, Bill (Becky) Sales of Kearneysville, W.Va., Becky (Mark) Bradley, Carolyn (Mike) Andersen, Rhonda (Jim) Huff all of Council Bluffs; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family, Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Saturday, 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Hazel Dell Cemetery with a lunch following at Healthy Living Center, 714 So. Main St. Memorial contributions are suggested to Southside Christian Church.

Mary was such a sweet sweet friend. Her and my mom were in red hats, and in may church circles together. Mary will be truly missed, seeing her smile in church every sunday. Thoughts and prayers to all the family in this time of sorrow
