December 20, 1948 - October 8, 2025

Steven "Steve" Batt, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 8, 2025. He was born December 20, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Harlen and Jane (Paul) Batt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Lintzman and Elizabeth Thompson; father and mother-in-law, Gerald "Babe" Chapman and Jeanette Chapman - Riso.

Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, Denise (Chapman) Batt; son, Ryan (Nikki) Batt; four grandchildren, Brittnee White, Blake Steven Batt, Cooper Anderson, Baylee Batt; brothers, Robert (Tere) Batt, and John (Susan) Batt;nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
