Tammy Bockert Obituary
Bockert
Tammy J. Bockert, age 58, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 18, 2023 at CHI-Mercy Hospital. Tammy was born November 19, 1964 in Council Bluffs to Weldon T. and Lucille J. (Forbes) Bockert, Jr. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1983 where she excelled in basketball and softball. Tammy was the first 5-year letter winner in Thomas Jefferson History. She was inducted in the Bowling Hall-of-Fame in 2005. Tammy was an avid Hawkeye and Vikings fan. She worked for Pottawattamie County for 3 years.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Weldon and Lorraine Bockert, Eugene Forbes and Carrie Jones.
Tammy is survived by her parents, Weldon "Tom" and Lucille Bockert; sister, Kimberly (Jack) Collins all of Carter Lake; brother, Joe Bockert of Riverton, Iowa; 6 nieces and nephews, 8 great-nieces and nephews, 1 great-great-nephew; aunts, uncles and special friends, Geri Clemons, Michelle Nunez and Brandie Slack.
Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. The family will direct memorial contributions.
