Adeline Tell

TELL Adeline (Greenberg), passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home in Pompton Plains, New Jersey at the age of 86. Mrs. Tell was raised in Passaic, New Jersey, and was graduated from Passaic High School. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Montclair State Teachers College. Mrs. Tell taught in various school districts in New Jersey, as well as in Baltimore, Maryland while her husband, Bernard L. Tell, was attending the University of Maryland Dental School. Her last teaching position was in Pequannock Township. Mrs. Tell was a charter member of the Chilton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and a member of the Montclair State Alumni Association. Adeline Tell is survived by her husband, Dr. Bernard L. Tell, of Pompton Plains. They were happily married for 64 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Alice Tell Simon of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and her husband, Andrew Simon, and her son, Dr. Richard T. Tell of North Caldwell and his wife, Tracy G. Tell. She was the cherished grandmother of Stacy, Lacy, Cory, and Rory Tell and Jackson and Joely Simon. A private funeral was held at the King Solomon Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey on Sunday, March 13, 2011.
