Alfredo Abon Obituary
Alfredo, 85, of Dumont, passed away on December 4, 2012 at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his living family. Born in Cuba, Alfredo immigrated to the U.S., residing in Dumont.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Caridad (nee Rosales), and his devoted son, Alfredo and his wife Ida. A great joy in Alfredo's life were his cherished grandchildren; Alfredo, Max, and Gabby.
Captain Alfredo Abon Lee is a retired Cuban army officer. He was the commander of the garrison at Yaguajay, where he fought the Communist rebel forces in December 1958 in one of the final engagements of the Cuban Revolution.
The Funeral Service will be officiated on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10 AM at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood. The family will welcome friends on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
