Allan Jespersen Obituary
Born in Newark, Mr. Jespersen was raised in Montclair. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Also, he was the founder and operator of Jespersen Rugs & Carpets, Verona. He was the president and treasurer of the Lions Club of Cedar Grove. And, he was a coach with the Cedar Grove Little League for more than 20 years, volunteered with the Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad for 10 years, and was a multiple gold medal winner in the Senior Olympics.
Services were Saturday at Cedar Crest Chapel, Pompton Plains, followed by inurnment at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
Mr. Jespersen is survived by his sons, Erik and Christopher; his sisters, Helge of Harrisburg, Pa., and Paula Diehl of Swarthmore, Pa.; and his brother, Otto, of Cary, N.C.
He was predeceased by his wife, Karen; and his parents, Peter and Agnes.
