America Aguirre Obituary
AGUIRRE
America "Amy" (Lebrato), 91, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014, at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ where she had resided for the past six years.
Born in New York City, she lived and worked there until giving up her career to raise her daughter and care for her parents, Sebastian Lebrato and Francisca Lebrato (Martin). Mrs. Aguirre was a faithful parishioner of St. Catharine's R.C. Church in Glen Rock, NJ since moving from the Bronx to Fair Lawn in 1964.
Amy was the beloved wife of John (Juan) Aguirre for the past 65 years; the loving and devoted mother of Frances Ann Aguirre and husband Antonio Justo of Kearny, NJ; and the dear sister of her "favorite" brother, Frank Lebrato.
America was a resilient woman who will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, both here and in Spain. She was an avid reader, especially of newspapers, and loved watching CNN.
"Miss America" was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff at The Longview Assisted Living and subsequently at Heritage Manor East.
The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, November 2, 2014, 2-5 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. A funeral mass is planned for Monday, November 3, 2014, 9:30 AM at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
