Anita Zucconi

Anita Zucconi was 95 years old when she passed away Monday, August 20th. Born in Brooklyn, Anita was a resident of Bergenfield since 1961. She worked as a seamstress her entire life up to the age of 94. Active in her community, Anita was a member of the Church of the Ascension Parish, New Milford since 1962, the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW Post #6467, Bergenfield, and a member of the Sunday morning breakfast crew at Matthews Diner, Bergenfield.

Anita was predeceased by her late husband Leonard Zucconi in 1986. She is survived by her devoted sons Leonard Zucconi and Wayne Zucconi and her daughter in law Jo-Anne Zucconi. Anita was predeceased by her late brother Rudy Guberti. She is the cherished grandmother of Tara Quackenbush and her husband James, Nicholas Zucconi, Anthony Zucconi and his wife Sandra and Lauren Zucconi. She is also survived by her loving great grandchildren Hannah, Olivia, and Anthony. A funeral mass will be celebrated in her memory tomorrow (Thursday) at 9:30am in the Church of the Ascension, New Milford. Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting hours will be held today (Wednesday) from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, New Milford. www.boulevardfuneralhome.com.
