Ann Taylor Obituary
Ann Elizabeth Taylor, 94 of Montclair NJ passed away on May 10, 2017. Born in Newark and at an early age the family moved to Montclair where she attended public schools and graduated from the Montclair High School and Newark State Teachers' College with a BS degree. A member of the Kean College Alumni Association, Union NJ and the Kappa Delta Pi honorary Fraternity. She taught Kindergarten and elementary grades in Montclair for 35 years until retirement in 1983. Tutored children in her home in Reading and Math, and gave piano and art instruction for a number of years after retirement. A member of the First United Methodist Church, the Montclair Teachers' Club, and the Montclair Art Museum. Ann is survived by her brother Roscoe Dean Taylor Jr. of Montclair and Clifton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to PAWS Animal Shelter in Montclair. Graveside Service, Friday, May 19 at 1:00 PM, Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave. East Hanover, NJ. Ann was a remarkable lady. We tried to help her as she got older but she was incredibly independent. I saw Ann last a week before she passed. She was ready. I and my family hope Ann is at peace and enjoying her new adventure. Best wishes, Ann. We'll miss you!Your friend, Patrick Garner
