Washington Twp. - Arthur J. Cumming passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Beloved Husband of Mary Ann Cumming. Devoted father of daughter Heather Castronova, her husband Anthony Castronova and his son Scott Cumming. Dear brother of Elizabeth Gheno and her husband Kenneth Gheno. Loving grandfather of Gina Marie Castronova and Anthony Joseph Castronova JR.

Arthur was Born in Hackensack NJ, he lived in Saddle River NJ, Hackensack NJ and Twp of Washington NJ. Arthur was an employee of Fairleigh Dickinson University.The Joseph M Sanzari Companies.The County of Bergen where as a NAUI Dive Instructor he certified Members of the Bergen County Police Water Search and Rescue Recovery Team. He also was a staff member of the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management. Arthur was a huge advocate for the Bergen County Police Department.

Arthur was also employed in the Borough of Fair Lawn where he was a proud member of the Tree Shade Committee and Property Maintenance Committee.

He served on the Hackensack Ambulance Corp. Arthur also served as a Councilman in the Township of Washington as well as the Twp. Zoning and Planning Boards and Twp. Green Team. Arthur was very dedicated to his Community. He was a proud member of Masonic Lodge No 194.

The family will receive their relatives and friends during a celebration of his life on Sunday March 28, 2021 from 2-6 P.M. at Seasons Catering Hall 644 Pascack Road Twp. of Washington NJ 07676.

PBA Local 206 WT Unit, 350 Hudson Avenue Twp of Washington NJ 07676 and/or

VFW Post 6192, 572 Hoover Avenue Twp of Washington NJ 07676 and/or

Fair Lawn Tree Committee who will be planting a tree along with a bronze plaque in Arthurs memory.
