Dear Mike,
This message is long overdue but I want you to know even as time goes by I think of you often, always have and always will. Gramps was a vivacious and loving man whom I owe a great deal of gratitude for not only caring for you but also for helping you become the strong, selfless, passionate and amazing individual you are today. I hope that as time has passed the pain of your loss has lessened but what remains are the moments and memories, big and small, good and bad, to remind you that gramps will always be with you in your heart and he would want you to live a beautiful life. I hope you are surrounded by love, peace and happiness today for that is what you so freely give to others.

Michael,
I was so sorry to hear of your grandfather's passing. My Uncle Artie was an amazing person. I have so many fond memories of him from my childhood that I will cherish forever. Most of all his smile will forever be with me. You have been so fortunate to have had him your life and the same can be said of you for him. Thank you so much for sharing the story of the last days of his life. I saw the light flicker behind him as you were telling the story and knew that gesture was just another affirmation of his love for you. I hope you find peace and comfort in his love and in that find the strength to get through this difficult time. xoxo
