Barbara Etterbeek

Barbara J., age 62. of Wyckoff died Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Born in Paterson, Barbara grew up in Midland Park and moved to Wyckoff in 1970. She was a graduate of St. Barnabas Medical Center School of Nursing in1969. In addition to raising her children, Barbara worked part time at several local retail establishments, including V & S Carpets, The Wicker Porch and Barefoot Carpet all in Midland Park. She also worked several years for the Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff where she was a greeter. Some of Barbara's favorite things to do were gardening, tennis, golf and book club.
Surviving is her husband of 40 years, David H. Etterbeek, her children, Kristen N. and her husband Carl DeMarco and David B. Etterbeek. Barbara also leaves her loving grandchildren, Carson and Connor DeMarco and Jack Etterbeek, and her mother Hummy Klopman. She was pre-deceased by her father Bern Klopman in 1985.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11 AM at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the James A. McFaul Environmental Center, 150 Crescent Avenue Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
