Bert Toron Obituary
Bert. Passed away peacefully on November 19th at the age of 89. He was born in the Bronx to Bessie and Benjamin Toron on August 3rd, 1927. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17, and served in the Sea Bees until the end of WWII.
Bert was the former owner of Regal Sportogs in Hackensack for forty years and then employed as a fabric supervisor at Anne Klein, Inc. until his retirement at age 71.
He moved to New Milford in 1958 and resided there until his death. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita, (nee Kirstein), and his children, Shari (Leo Goldman), Craig (Rosanne Kinder), Susan, (Charles Troyanovski), and his beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Max, Jesse and Sally. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved sisters, Ruth Mamlok, Ida Toron and brother Jerome Toron.
Bert was a man who loved his family, his friends, nieces and nephews, community and synagogue. He will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Center for Food Action at www.cfanj.org or mail to, 192 West Demarest Ave, Englewood, NJ, 07631 and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or mail to 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 His service will be Tuesday (11-22-16 at 11 AM at Schoem's Chapel in Paramus NJ, Burial to follow at Beth-El Cemetery Paramus NJ.

Bert Toron was the nicest man you could ever meet. Both Bert and Rita worked to enrich the lives of others every day, and it really showed. Bert will surely be missed by all who knew him and by all who even met him one time. I am so glad to have known Bert for so many years. Warmest wishes of condolence to the entire family. May the beautiful memories of Bert be an everlasting source of strength and happiness for the family to recall.
