Eloyce and family, I loved my cousin, Charles, and you have my deepest sympathy. He was quite a man. I'll always remember the pride his mother, Adeline, and his grandmother, Caroline, had of Charles. He's in a better place now with no more pain. We shall all see our loved ones again someday. I will miss his wonderful emails and messages. He also left a wonderful gift doing the Family Tree. Many reunions have happened on Facebook with the help of Charles' work on the Family Tree. Love, Joanne Wozniacki

Dear Eloyce and family:
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie. Growing up on Oak Street I was indeed fortunate to have a next door neighbor like him. During those informative years he certainly gave me much to admire, as I truly looked up to him. I have many fond memories of our softball games, jobs he helped me get, great police stories, and simple talks. Without doubt, your entire family has many happy memories of Charlie that you will always cherish. Please except my sympathy at the loss of a good man.

Charles was my friend. To all who knew him he was an inspiration. He never let his handicap get in the way of the things he loved to do, boating, golf, or carving. He made me a carving of an eagle once soon after I had made the only golf eagle in my life. On it was inscribed the date and hole of that single event. It is a cherished possession. He mastered the computer while still in recuperation from his injury and although he was always in some kind of pain, he didn’t dwell on it. I first met Charles when we were together on a trip to Key West and we had time to just talk. He spoke briefly of his career as a detective and how he became proficient in “voice recognition”, a vital tool in law enforcement. He sent me a beginners painting kit when I happened to mention that I wish I knew how to do something constructive. He said, “Try this”. Tenacity and perseverance were his nature and I admired him for it. I’ll miss Charles Lange, he was my friend George & Helen Fieseher
