Claire Kleiner Obituary

KLEINER
Claire M., formerly of Tenafly, NJ and LaPaz, IN died on February 18 at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Judith Kleiner; sister Mary Klingerman and brother Don (Marie) Van Osdol. Claire was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Kleiner, brother Quinten Mangus, and her granddaughter Joanne McDermott. Claire was a medical technologist in South Bend, IN, Ann Arbor, Chicago and New York City. She met her future husband at a conference in Chicago and they married in 1953. Widowed in 1972, Claire enrolled at NYU and graduated with a degree in Art History. Claire loved to travel, cook and garden but most of all loved to spend time with her extended family, especially Jim, John, Vicki, Dan and David Ettenson; Justin and Andrew McDermott; Nancy (Stephen) Rousseau, Liz (Mary) Lucker and John (Meghan) Lucker. She was an active member of Temple Sinai, the J.C.C. on the Palisades and the Tenafly Garden Club.
