Constance BILLE Obituary

BILLE Constance "Connie" (nee Scozzie), 93, of Carlstadt since 1978, passed away January 21, 2010. Mrs. Bille was born in North East Pennsylvania. She was a Secretary for Meehan Tooker in Carlstadt for many years until retiring. She was a Navy WWII Veteran, Shopkeeper Second Class. Connie was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Secular Franciscians, a Eucharistic Minister, and a Teacher's Assistant in St. Joseph's School. For many years she taught Sunday School at Our Lady of Sorrows in Garfield. She was also a member of the Carlstadt Seniors and the Catholic War Veterans of Assumption Church in Wood-Ridge. Connie enjoyed teaching and learning, cooking, gardening and entertaining. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Eugene Bille. Loving mother of Thomas Eugene Bille, Jr., Diane Christeson and her husband Brian, Frances M. Thibodeau and her husband Richard and the late Charles A. Bille and mother-in-law of Karen Flaig. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Charles Scozzie, Josephine Taccone, Mary Scaneo and Carmela Triana. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 9 AM and from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 9:30 AM. Entombment Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation Monday 2-4, 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, South Dakota, 57326.
