Cornelius J. Bushoven

BUSHOVEN
Cornelius J. "Neil", age 82, of North Haledon formerly of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014. Born in Paterson, Neil lived many years in Wyckoff before moving to the Holland Christian Home, North Haledon in 2011. Neil was the founder of Bushoven and Company, Certified Public Accountants in Midland Park for over 40 years before his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. He served as board president of the Christian Health Care Center and Eastern Christian School Association. Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Marie (Sybesma), his devoted children, Cynthia and her husband Mark Braunius, Roy and his wife Jeanne, Glenn and his wife Lauren, Douglas and his wife Marianne, Ken and his wife Julie and Lori and her husband John Coolong. Neil also leaves 17 adoring grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his sister Martina Johnson.
The Bushoven family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2014, 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment in the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Avenue, North Haledon, NJ 07508.
