SCOTT
Edward F., 95 of Ramsey, passed away on October 4, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Margaret M. Scott. Loving father of Barbara Scott of Danbury, CT, Margaret and husband Rick Conca of Wappingers Falls, NY, Kevin Scott and wife Elisabeth of Ramsey, NJ and Christine Scott of Ramsey, NJ. Adored grandfather of Joshua Scott Conca and Lucas Scott Conca. Dear brother of Arthur C. Scott of Upper Saddle River, NJ. Predeceased by his brothers, Francis, Joseph and Alvin. Ed was born and raised in the Bronx and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran receiving his Honorable Discharge as a Tech Sergeant after serving for 3 1/2 years in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. He retired from the New York Telephone Company as Manager of Special Services for Northern Manhattan and all of the Bronx after 37 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church for 60 years and a member of VFW Post 682 of Ramsey. Ed had a lifelong passion for nature and was an avid gardener who took great pride in his flowers and backyard habitat. His loving spirit will continue to grace our lives and he will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's RC Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
