Ellen Futterman Obituary
Ellen Futterman, 65, of Paramus, passed away on Friday, August, 18, 2017, surrounded by family.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ to Herbert & Selma Futterman and raised in Paramus. She graduated from Paramus High School and Hackensack Lyons Nursing as an LPN. She worked for many years as a nurse for Dr. Selma Mitchell. After raising her family she began working for the Paramus Board of Ed. She loved bingo, the beach, and most of all her dog.
She is survived by her son Justin Cantor, her brothers Bruce (Joan) and Mark (Jeri), her nieces & nephews Robyn (Barry), David (Kerry), Matthew, Carly, and Jamie and her newest grandniece Scarlett. She is also survived by her devoted dog Reggie.
Funeral services will be 10:45 AM, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ.
Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Valley Hospital Foundation,

I'm so sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. We were good friends in high school and immediately after. Life and obligations have a way of occupying our time and we never find the time to get in touch with old friends, however, while my parents were still living and still on Gorden Drive, my mother and I would pass the house on Farview Avenue we hoped to catch Ellen outside. When we/I did we would always beep the horn knowing the chances of Ellen recognize someone with MA license plates, were nill. I never forgot Ellen and our good times at PHS. My sincere sympathy on the passing of your mother and sister. So sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. Knew her from Dr. Mitchel's office. But we saw her every day for years walking her dog. We'll miss her in the neighborhood.

I had the pleasure of working with Ellen for a number of years at the Paramus Board of Ed. She was a bus aide in our department. I know she loved her son very much, and also her dog. Ellen was always pleasant and never once came into our office without a smile on her face and a kind word. I was very sad to hear she passed. I am lucky to have had the pleasure of working with Ellen and I will always remember her walking her dog on Fairview Ave. Rest in peace Ellen.

Ellen was a true friend and though I haven't spent much time with her in the last few years, I will always remember what a special person she was and I am so very sad she is gone. Rest in Peace Ellen, my friend.
