I remember going to pick up Nonna at the factory in Hoboken too! We used to drive along Boulevard East and sing Fince la barca va (sp??) I remember when Nonno and Nonna used to watch wrestling. I will never forget the name Bruno Salmartino.

I remember cutting the hedges and shoveling snow and nonno and nonna watching every move. I remember the neighbors wondering why we swept the sidewalk, street and driveway with the scovazera. I remember running home from the pool to clean insalata at 4:00 every day in the summer. I remember going to pick up nonna from the factory in Hoboken and how you let us sit on your lap and drive the car.
I thank God for these memories.

Zio Stakio,

I will never forgot how you loved to tease me when you spoke to me in Italian because you knew I couldn't understand. I will miss seeing you so I can ask you Zio come stai?

May you rest in peace with the rest of the family.

Love, Natalie

There is nothing that I will miss more than going to see Nonno, and as I approach him he begins a smile of proudness and love that I will never forget. I hope for God’s sake he’s a good card player and has the Italian Channel Satellite for soccer. Never mind, Nonna Toni probably already prepped God.

I love you Nonno, and as much as I miss you I know you’re by my side. (I just heard someone whisper in my ear, “It’s 5:30, Dinners not ready yet?”

You helped raise me and my sisters...and our memories will never be erased. Cleaning radicchio every summer morning, grocery shopping with two carts and always leaving room for the box of 4 gallons of Gallo wine!

You always worried that we would do okay, I hope we have made you proud. We love you and miss you.
Now Nonna has you back...

"Madalina" wants to know "what Nonno Stacchio doin?"

We love you,
Tanya, Kirt, Jacqueline and Madeline
