Evelyn Kolodzej

KOLODZEJ Evelyn V. (Cheon), 75, of Fair Lawn, NJ entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, she was a 1953 graduate of Central High School in Paterson and moved to Fair Lawn in 1971. Mrs. Kolodzej was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church. An avid reader, Evelyn enjoyed cooking, music, bible study and will be remembered for writing letters of encouragement to family and friends. Beloved wife of Joseph Kolodzej, Sr. Loving and devoted mother of Marion Blacow and husband Thomas, Joseph, Jr., Michelle and Joy Kolodzej, Robert Fanslau and wife Joanne and William Fanslau and wife Barbara. Cherished grandmother of Bobbie and Billy. Dear sister of Betty Hudak and husband Richard, Sr. Dear aunt of several nieces and nephews and loving friend to many. She is also survived by her loyal canine companion, Travis. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 27, 2011, 10 am at Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc.,13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
