George Monaco Obituary
George Louis, 72, passed away on Tuesday 1/4/17 after a brief illness. He was born in Jersey City and lived in North Bergen most of his life. George graduated from North Bergen High School and Lincoln Tech Adult School, graduating 2nd in the nation with an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) degree. He obtained his teaching certification from Montclair State and became a dedicated educator for Bergen County School of Technology in Paramus on both high school and adult levels for many years.
He was the son of the late Dante G. and Josephine, nee Cagnoni, and the beloved husband of Sylvia, nee Allison. He was the devoted brother-in-law of Linda and Gary Frazier and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his special family friend Albert Kunz along with many dear friends.
The funeral will be on Monday, 1/9/17 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, North Bergen where a funeral mass will be offered with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. The visitation will be on Sunday 1/8/17 from 2-7 PM at Leber Funeral Home, Union City.

Mr. Monaco was a great teacher to the entire class. We will always remember the tips and tricks he taught us to be able to succeed in our automotive futures.

George was a great friend and neighbor. He was kind, patient, always there to help. We will miss our conversations in the driveway talking about fixing cars, the neighborhood, our cats, his students and world events. Our block won't be the same without you.
