George Valavanis

George Valavanis, 92, of Fort Lee, died on Sept. 22. He went to reunite with the love of his life Madeline "Nina". He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the owner of Valavanis Furs of New York City and also co-founded Nina Records with his wife Nina. He served as the master of ceremonies for the Athenian Corner of Fort Lee. Known for his kind and generous heart he helped countless people in need. He and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. Beloved husband of the late Madeline "Nina" (nee: Plavoukos). Devoted father of Mercina and Thomas Tarace, Peter and Susan Valavanis, Maria and Stephen Bojekian and Sophia and Tony Cervieri. Cherished grandfather of Angela Hauck, Thomas Tarace, George Valavanis, Ninamarie, Michael Bojekian and the late Peter James Valavanis. Adored great grandfather of Dylan, Madison, Kevin, Benjamin, Nicholas and Matthew. Dear brother of Mary Valavanis and brother in-law of Sophia Altin and Voula Plavoukos.
