Geraldine Noel Higgins-O'Connell

HIGGINS- O'Connell Geraldine Noel, a 30 year resident of Chestnut Ridge, NY, died Friday October 25, 2002, After a valiant fight with cancer. She was 69. Mrs. O'Connell was a Credit Analyst for BMW in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Mrs. O'Connell was born December 25, 1932 in Bronx, NY to James and Geraldine Case Sullivan. Locally she was District Leader in Bronx, NY for 85 AD, A member of the Michael V. Dolan Conservative Party in the Bronx. She was also an Assistant to Senator James Buckley. She is survived by her husband Stephen, children Danny Higgins of Tinton Falls, NJ, James Higgins of Athens, PA, John Higgins of Highland Lakes, NJ, Heidi Higgins-Sermabekian of Sloatsburg, NY, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters Mickey Guthorn and Judy Collazzi. She is predeceased by her daughter GiGi Higgins-Curtis and sister Patricia Sullivan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday October 29, 2002 at St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Monsey, NY. Visiting will be Sunday and Monday 3-4 and 7-9 PM at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
