Gertrude Conklin Obituary
Gertrude (nee Weber), resident of Norwood, NJ, passed away peacefully at home August 5, 2016 with the comfort of her family. All relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Aug 20th at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tenafly, NJ . She was predeceased by her first husband David Conklin (deceased 2009) and her sister Mildred Grauman (nee Weber). She is survived by her son Scott Conklin, his wife Diane Conklin and her grandchildren, Dylan, Sophia and Ian, and her daughter Emily Conklin. She is also survived by her husband, Thomas Meberg and her sisters Alice Rex (nee Weber) and Lorraine Weber. She was born in Somerville NJ on October 18, 1940 and moved to Norwood shortly after her first marriage where she raised her family. Before retirement, Gertrude worked for Pearson Education for 18 years and previously she was employed by Lever Brothers for 10 years. Gertrude was deeply committed to her church and served in the financial office at Trinity Lutheran Church for over 40 years. She was a worldwide traveler, an avid theater goer and a long time bridge player.
