Gregorio Maldonado Obituary

MALDONADO Gregorio, of Bogota, died on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he came to this country in 1950. Prior to retiring in 1999, he worked as a Concierge for Service Employees International Union Local #32-BJ of New York for 15 years. He was a member of the Hackensack Senior Center, Hackensack and a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Bogota. Beloved husband of the late Isabel "Chave" (nee Hernandez). Loving father of Jennie Rivera and her husband Ralph and Gregorio Maldonado and his wife Adele. Cherished grandfather of Amy, Raquel, Michael and Rafael. Dearest brother of Edwin Maldonado and the late Andres Maldonado, Melba Quinones and Ruben Ortiz. The Funeral on Thursday, February 26th, at 8:15 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 115 E. Fort Lee Rd. Bogota, at 9:30 AM Interment will follow at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made to: Hackensack University Medical Center, "I.C.U. Unit," 20 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
