Florence Kazdon Obituary
Mrs. Kazdon lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Butler in 1979 and then to Pompton Plains 10 years ago. She was a partner in Harry's Auto Radiator Works in Brooklyn. Also, she had worked at her son-in-law's optometry office. She was a volunteer at the Kinnelon Public Library and at the Congregation Beth Shalom Gift Shop in Pompton Lakes. And, she was the secretary of the Jewish Council at Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains, for many years.
Services were Tuesday, July 15. Donations may be sent to the Kinnelon Public Library or to the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Kazdon is survived by her daughter, Roslyn Pelcyger of Kinnelon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; her daughter, Beverly; and her brothers, Abe, Sam, and Jack.

Florence, a regular at Shabbat services at Beth Shalom, often participated in Rabbi Listfield's after service lunch and learns. She was friendly and supportive to fellow congregants, especially to me when I struggled through haftorahs. Her heartfelt words of encouragement were greatly appreciated. She will always be remembered fondly.
