Harold Katz Obituary

KATZ - Harold L., D.D.S. of Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Emerson, NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2002. Dr. Katz was born in the Bronx, NY, on March 31, 1925. He graduated from Townsend Harris High School in 1941, and received his B.S. from C.C.N.Y. in 1946 and dental degree from N.Y.U. College of Dentistry in 1947. Dr. Katz served in the Navy during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1954. Affter starting a dental practice in the Bronx, Dr. Katz moved his dental practice to Emerson in 1956. He lived in Emerson and served the community for 33 years. In addition, he taught pharmacology at N.Y.U. and served as a consultant in dental management. Dr. Katz was and active member of the New Jersey Dental Association. He was N.J.D.A. State Trustee from 1973-1982. He also was N.J.D.A. Treasurer from 1985-1986, and State Delegate in 1991. Dr. Katz retired from active practice in 1989, and moved to Palm Beach, FL. He is survived by his second wife, Paula Sachais Katz of Palm Beach, FL, and by three children from his first marriage: Marla Westover, Esq., Ronald Katz, D.D.S., and Archer Katz, D.M.D., and by two children. A private Memorial Service for the family is planned. Donations can be sent in Dr. Katz's name to; N.Y.U.
