Henry Gitterman Obituary

GITTERMAN
Henry, age 93, of Emerson, formerly of Teaneck, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
Henry was born in Germany and came to NYC with his parents in 1939. He resided in Washington Heights, before moving to Teaneck in 1955. He lived in Teaneck for 60 years until 2015. Henry was an Army veteran of WWII. After the army he attended Cooper Union College and then continued his graduate studies at NYU. Before his retirement, he was an engineer for Burns and Roe, Inc, in Oradell, NJ for many years.
Henry was predeceased by his wife of many years, Eva [nee Newmark] in December of 1995 and by his oldest daughter, Amy, in 2003.
He is survived by Amy's husband Brian, daughter Jane Muhlstock and her partner Anthony Andriola, and his son Matthew and his spouse, Nancy. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be directed to Life Source Hospice, 230 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Suite 307, Paramus, NJ 07652.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
