Howie was a dear friend to our family, and we will miss him very much. He was a welcome guest at all our family events over the past 20 years, and a beloved companion of our parents, Dot and Charlie Mattson. Howie and Charlie were childhood friends, and went through the years of WWII and the film and news business together. In their retirement, they thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the back yard, discussing their experiences and adventures, and keeping up with their old friends in the Local 52 IATSE. We should all be so lucky to have such a good and long-lasting friendship.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Meyer family, and we thank you for sharing your Dad with us.
