In 1963, I was in a horrific bus accident a month before my 4th birthday. Dr. MacDonald worked dilligently to save my arm. I was one of the first recipients of microsurgery. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for saving my arm, and restoring the ability to use it fully when they didn't think I ever would be able to. Thank you, Dr. MacDonald, I will be forever grateful.

I am so saddened to hear about Dr. MacDonald's passing. As a high school friend of David's, I knew Dr. MacDonald well and remember him as a very loving, caring, and classy man. If my memory serves correct, his favorite story was The Wizard of Oz, and I still find it interesting that a man of his stature and seriousness took such great pleasure in such a whimsical tale. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his wonderful family.
