James Straut Obituary
Mahwah - James E. Straut, 84, of Mahwah died December 17, 2020. Beloved husband of Barbara for 62 years. Father of James M. (Skip) and wife Patricia, Susan Duarte and Michael Straut. He was adored by his grandson Samuel Duarte. Brother of the late Barbara Keri and uncle of Chris, Karen and Jeff Keri. He was employed by ITT for 27 years and was manager of Antarctic Services for 10 years. He was an honorably discharged Veteran of the Army Reserves. He was an avid wood carver and enjoyed his many hobbies and sports. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 10 - 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Mahwah with a funeral mass being celebrated at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Mahwah Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of James to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org. Please send tributes, memories and condolences to vanemburghsneider.com.
