We were so very sorry to hear about Jean's passing. I have only fond memories of Jean through our interactions at Wyckoff Reformed Church and subsequent visits at Longview. She always had a smile, a joke or a story to share. She was so proud of her family and all her grandchildren. Each visit we would catch up on all their current activities. She was a remarkable woman and a very special friend. She will be greatly missed by many.

Sorry to hear of the death of a childhood friend in Fulton, Illinois, at the Excelsior Christian School and Fulton High School and being a frequent guest in the home of her parents for "overnights.' We had a group we called the FWC (Fulton Wolfess Club) There were the Putt girls across the street, Ann Arink Kettler, Rosemary Johanssen, Jean and myself, Murt Byers. By l944 all of us took off for college or already had previously except Rosemary who married. We corresponded for many years but at some period in time, that ceased. All are still living except Rosemary and now Jean. I know some of your friends from Hope who taught at Central ( Ron Schipper, Bill Hinga and their wives. Charlene Putt and I still correspond via e-mail and have visited each other in Grand Rapids and Pella. Jean was a talented girl musically and we were all proud of her accomplishments.
